In 1994 he was invited to perform Puccini’s Glory Mass at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory under the direction of Vladimir Fedoseyev, and also performed in the opera The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezhand the Maiden Fevroniya at the Festival of Bregenz (Austria). In 1995 he made his debut at the Bolshoi Theater in Russia, playing Don Basilio (Rossini’s The Barber of Seville) and Konchak (Prince Igor). In 1996he appeared in the role of Prince Gremin (Eugene Onegin) at the Giuseppe Verdi Opera House in Trieste (Italy). In 1997 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris he sang the role of Bonzo in Stravinsky’s Le Rossignol (with the BBC Symphony Orchestra conducted by Pierre Boulez); this production was then staged in Brussels, London, Rome, Seville and Berlin. In 1999 he played the lead role in the world premiere of Sergei Slonimsky’s Visions of Ivan the Terrible, conducted by Mstislav Rostropovich in Samara.

Dal suo debutto al Teatro alla Scala nel 2002 come Don Alfonso in Lucrezia Borgia, il baritono Burak Bilgili ha cantato sui palcoscenici dei maggiori teatri del mondo, fra I qualiMetropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall of New York, Washington National Opera, San Francisco Opera, Seattle Opera, Opéra de Montréal, Canadian Opera in Toronto, Liceu de Barcelona, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Caramoor Festival, Savonlinna Festival, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma.
Fra gli impegni della stagione 2018/19 il suo debutto a Cologne come Padre Guardiano ne La Forza del Destino e all’Opera de Tours come Mustafa ne L’italiana in Algieri e l’interpretzione del ruolo di Nilakantha in Lakme alla Royal Opera of Oman.

Tchaikovsky, created together with Anna Netrebko and directed by Emmanuel Villaume, is presented in semi-stage form in a European tour in theaters such as the Salle Pleyel(Paris), Philarmonie (Berlin), Gasteig (Munich), Konzerthaus(Vienna), Concertgebouw (Amsterdam),Smetana Hall(Prague), Alte Oper(Frankfurt), Gallus Hall (Ljubliana),Royal Albert Hall( London), Grand Théàtre(Monte Carlo), among others.
Winner of the First Prize at the “Riccardo Zandonai Competition” in Riva del Garda, “Shell Argentine Grand Prize” and Second Prize at the “Cesare Seghizzi Chamber Competition“”In Gorizia, he won a scholarship at the prestigious Mozarteum Salzburg where he perfected himself in chamber music and from there he embarked on a profitable chamber music career in Slovenia, Italy, France and Austria in parallel to his opera, and as a soloist in oratories that led him to collaborate with the Orchestra and Chorus of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Slovakia, The Ensemble L’Arte nel Mondo, Rundfunk Chor und Orchester Berlin, Slovenian Chamber Choir and Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra of the Rome Festival, Chorus and National Orchestra of Chile, Chorus and Orchestra of the Sodre di Montevideo, among others, in works such as MattheusPassion, JohannesPassion and Mass in B minor by J. S. Bach; Mass Solemnis and Ninth Symphony by L. van Beethoven; Requiem by W. A. Mozart; Deutsches Requiem by J. Brahms; Requiem by G. Verdi; Requiem by G. Fauré; Die Schöpfung by F. J. A Slovenian and Argentine citizen, born in Buenos Aires, he graduated in Singing and Scenic Art at the Higher Institute of Art of the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

An artist with a vast repertoire, he is particularly appreciated for his interpretations of the great Verdi bass roles. His commitment to the roles of the Italian bel canto is also noteworthy, without forgetting the highly acclaimed interpretations of Timur in TURANDOTand Colline in LA BOHÈME.
She sang at the ROHin Muscat with TURANDOT, at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino with RIGOLETTOunder the direction of Maestro Zubin Mehta, at the NCPAin Beijing with LA GIOCONDA conducted by Maestro Daniel oren and, in the same theater, AIDAconducted by Maestro Zubin Mehta, in RIGOLETTOat the Verdi Theater in Trieste. He also sang L.W. Beethovenin Trieste.
